Cafe Coffee Day

This branch is over in the Koramangal area, specifically at Somasandra Palya in Bangaluru. It’s a busy little spot because Koramangal always has something going on. We open up pretty early to get the machines warmed up and the smell of coffee started. Most of our morning is spent wiping down the tables and making sure the sugar sachets are filled up. It’s a Darshan property, so the layout is familiar to people who live around here. We have a lot of regulars who come in and sit in the same chairs every single day, usually with their laptops or just meeting a friend for a quick chat. The noise of the grinder is constant, and we’ve all gotten used to shouting over it when we need to talk to each other. Sometimes the afternoon rush gets a bit intense and we are all running around trying to keep up with the orders, but then it settles down again by sunset. The windows get a bit foggy when it rains, which makes the place feel a bit more private from the street outside. We don’t have any big corporate speeches here; we just focus on making the drinks and keeping the floor clean. It’s a decent place to work, even if the bins need emptying more often than we’d like. We just keep the beans moving and the cups ready for the next person who walks through the door. The traffic outside never seems to stop.
