Cafe Coffee Day

This Cafe Coffee Day is the one at B5, 691 in Domlur 2nd Stage. We are right in the heart of Bangalore-560071, so we get a lot of office workers coming in. The place smells like roasted beans all the time, which is actually quite nice once you get used to it. We have a few tables inside and some chairs out front. Most of the day is spent steaming milk and cleaning up sugar spills on the counter. The espresso machine is a bit temperamental and makes a loud hissing sound when it is working hard. We have a regular crowd that comes in every afternoon around three for their break. They usually stay for an hour talking about their bosses or their projects. The music we play is just whatever is on the radio, usually not too loud. We have to keep an eye on the fridge to make sure we don't run out of milk or sandwiches. It can get pretty hectic when the weather is rainy because everyone wants to come inside and stay dry. My favorite time is early morning before the rush starts, when everything is quiet and the floors are still wet from mopping. It is just a neighborhood coffee shop where people come to hang out or get a quick drink before heading back to work.
