C C City Taxi is based in Vadodara, over in Indira Nagar Makarpura. Our office is at 173, on the 1st Floor, quite close to the Post Office. It’s a handy spot because everyone knows where the post office is. We aren't a big company with hundreds of cars, just a local group. We handle bookings for people going to work or heading out of town for the weekend. The office is pretty basic, just some desks and a couple of phones that never stop ringing. We know most of the streets in Vadodara by heart now. It gets quite busy in the mornings when everyone is trying to leave at the same time. We don't have fancy uniforms or a shiny lobby. It’s just an old building where we do our work. Sometimes we run a bit behind because of the roadworks, but we try to let people know. We’ve been in this neighborhood for years and know most of the people who live around Indira Nagar. We just want to make sure people have a way to get where they need to go. It’s a straightforward job without any bells and whistles. We keep a logbook for all the trips and try to keep the cars in decent shape. The stairs up to the office are a bit steep, so we usually just talk to people over the phone instead of having them come up. It's just a regular way to make a living.
