Brown Label Coffee Pvt Ltd is situated at 55/A Bannerghatta Road, right in the N S Palya area. We are on the 2nd Main Road, and if the wind is blowing the right way, you can smell the roasting from a block away. Our space is mostly taken up by bags of raw beans and the roasting equipment. It’s a lot of manual work, moving heavy sacks and keeping an eye on the timers. We aren't a fancy cafe with soft sofas; we are more of a production spot where the real work happens. The floor is usually covered in a bit of chaff, and there is always a grinder running somewhere. We spend a lot of time tasting different batches to see how they turned out. Some days the humidity messes with the roast, and we have to adjust things on the fly. It is a bit of a learning process even after all this time. The staff here just wears regular clothes and we don't have any formal titles or uniforms. We just like coffee and spend our hours making sure it’s roasted well enough to send out to people. Being on Bannerghatta Road means it’s always busy and noisy outside, but once you step inside, it is all about the beans and the heat from the machines. We keep a simple log of what we roast every day and where it is supposed to go next. It’s just honest, hardworking stuff.
