Bhagwan Stores

Bhagwan Stores is over in Malleshwaram, right near the Kanyakaparameswari Temple on M J Phule Marg. It is a nice spot because the temple brings in a lot of people, especially on special days and festivals. You can usually smell the incense and flowers from the stalls outside while we are working. We’ve been at this location for a long time, so the walls have a few marks and the counter is a bit scratched up. It’s a basic shop where we keep the essentials. Malleshwaram has changed a lot with new buildings, but this corner still feels like the old days. We don't really have a big staff, just a couple of us who know where everything is kept. If you ask for something, we can usually find it in the back even if it looks like a mess. We aren't trying to be like the big supermarkets. We like talking to the neighbors who stop by just to say hello or check the time. Sometimes we close a bit early if it’s a quiet Tuesday, but mostly we are here from morning until the street lights come on. The rain sometimes leaks a bit near the front door, so we keep some old sacks there. It’s just a normal place for normal people. We do our best to keep things stocked and keep the dust off the shelves as much as possible. This is just our daily life here on the Marg, keeping things simple.
