Bellur Travels

You can find us at number 87 on Basavanagudi Gandhi Bazaar Main Road. We are sitting right opposite the 41 bus stop, which is a very busy place to be. There are people constantly walking past our window. We started Bellur Travels because we knew the area well and people always needed help with their trips. Our office is quite small and we have some old posters on the walls showing different places you can visit. We spend most of our day checking on bus timings and trying to get seats for people who come in at the last minute. Basavanagudi is a traditional neighborhood, so we see a lot of the same faces every day. The noise from the street is something we have just gotten used to over the years. We have a couple of computers that sometimes run a bit slow, but we manage to get the bookings done. It isn't a high-tech operation. We mostly just talk to people and figure out the best way for them to get to where they want to go. Sometimes we have to make many phone calls to find a spare seat on a private bus. It can be frustrating when the systems go down, but we just tell the customers to wait a bit and have some water. We don't do much advertising because the location brings people in anyway. It is just regular work for us.
