Baskin Robbins

We are the staff at Baskin Robbins over in HSR Layout on Sunmill Road, right at 64/65. The shop is small but it gets the job done for us. Every morning we come in and check the freezers first because if one of those goes out, we're in big trouble. You can hear them humming all day long. It's a sound you just get used to after a while. We spend a lot of time scooping and trying to keep the glass looking clear, though kids always put their hands all over it. That’s just part of it, I guess. We have a lot of different flavors, and sometimes it takes people forever to choose what they want. We stand there with the little pink spoons waiting. It gets pretty busy in the evenings when families come by after dinner. Sunmill Road has its own vibe, and we're just a small part of that. We keep the floor mopped, especially when it’s raining outside and people track in mud. Sometimes we run out of the popular stuff and have to explain that the delivery hasn't come yet. It's just a regular ice cream shop. We don't have any big speeches to give. We just serve the scoops and keep the place running as best as we can. It’s mostly about making sure the lights are on and the ice cream stays frozen and ready for anyone who walks in the door today.
