Baskin Robbins

If you head over to New BEL Road 218, you’ll find our little Baskin Robbins shop. It’s a bright spot on a street that’s always packed with cars and people. We spend a lot of our time making sure the freezers are running right because if they stop, we’re in trouble. The floors get pretty messy with kids running around and the occasional dropped scoop, so someone is always mopping. We have the usual flavors sitting out in the tubs. It’s interesting to see what people pick. Some folks spend ten minutes looking at the choices before just getting the same thing they always get. The address is 218, right there on the main stretch. New BEL Road gets really lively in the evenings. You can hear the traffic from inside even when the doors are shut. We have a few small tables, but they fill up fast. We don't do anything too fancy here. We just scoop the ice cream and hand out napkins. The staff is mostly young people working shifts between their classes. It’s a lot of standing and smiling, even when the line is out the door. We don't have a big corporate office vibe. It’s just us behind the counter. Sometimes the power goes out and we all have to hurry to keep the lids closed tight. That’s just part of life here at 218.
