Banashankari Travels

We are located at number 4 on KNH Road in Yelachenahalli. The building is called the Jattappa Building. You can’t really miss it if you are walking down that way. Banashankari Travels is basically a small office where we handle travel bookings. It gets very busy during the holiday seasons, and the phone doesn’t stop ringing then. Most of the time, it is just us and the computer screens, looking for routes or checking prices for people who walk in. We have some posters of different places on the walls, but they have been there so long the edges are curling up a bit. It is a local place. People from the neighborhood just walk in to ask about bus timings or train tickets. We know a lot of the families around Yelachenahalli. The Jattappa Building is a solid old place. We have got a couple of fans that stay on all day to keep the air moving, though it still gets warm. It is not a fancy travel agency with bright lights and suits. It is just a room with desks where we do our work. Sometimes the internet goes slow and we have to apologize to the people waiting. We try to keep things simple and honest. Dealing with travel means things change fast, so we are always writing things down on scraps of paper. It is a lot of small details to keep track of, but we have been doing it long enough now.
