Bag Palace

You can find Bag Palace right across from the Bata showroom in T Dasarahalli. It’s a good spot because almost everyone knows where the shoe shop is located. We’ve been here at number 419 for some time now. We sell all sorts of bags, from small purses to big suitcases meant for long trips. The shop isn't fancy at all. We have bags hanging from the ceiling and piled up on the counters where there is space. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze when more than three people are inside at once, but we manage. My brother and I usually take turns at the counter. We see a lot of students from the nearby schools looking for new backpacks for the term. The traffic on the main road is always loud and the dust is constant, but you get used to it after a while. We don’t really have a website or anything like that, just the physical shop. People mostly find us by walking past on their way to the bus stop. Sometimes the rain leaks a little near the front door if the wind is heavy, so we have to move the leather items back quickly. It’s a lot of manual work, lifting heavy boxes and dusting the shelves every single morning before we open. We try to be honest and just tell people which bags will last and which ones are just for style. It’s a regular business in a busy neighborhood.
