We are located at No. 75, on the 2nd Main and 13th Cross in Vasanthnagar. Aysha Silks isn't a massive showroom with glass doors and guards. It’s more of a local shop where we keep a variety of silks tucked away on shelves. The neighborhood is fairly busy, but our corner stays relatively calm. We spend our days unfolding and folding fabric for whoever walks in. Sometimes the colors can be a bit overwhelming when we have a new shipment, but it’s part of the job. The shop has been in this spot for a while, and the wooden counters are starting to show their age. We don't have a big marketing budget or a social media manager. We just open up the shop in the morning and wait for people to come by. Most of our customers are from around Vasanthnagar or people who heard about us from their neighbors. It’s a small operation, usually just one or two of us behind the counter. We don't use any high-pressure sales tactics; we just let people look at the silk and decide for themselves. Sometimes the power goes out, and we have to use flashlights to show the patterns, but nobody seems to mind too much. It’s a very casual atmosphere. We try to keep the place tidy, but with so much fabric, there’s always a stray thread or two on the floor. It’s just a normal shop doing its thing day after day.
