Associate Design Engineer

I’m an Associate Design Engineer based in a small village called Alraja Pettai. It’s located in the Kammasamudram area of Vellore district, Tamil Nadu. My address is No. 42, which is just a simple house where I have my workspace. It’s a bit of a rural spot, quite different from the big tech hubs in Chennai or Bangalore. Most of my work involves designing parts and mechanical systems on my computer. I’ve lived in this village most of my life, and being able to work as an engineer from here is pretty good for me. The office is just a simple room with my equipment and some reference books. It’s quiet out here, which helps me focus on the drawings and calculations I have to do. Sometimes the power goes out, which can be a real pain when you haven't saved your work recently, so I have to be careful. Vellore is the nearest big town where I go for supplies or meetings occasionally. Being a design engineer means I have to be very careful with all the measurements. One small mistake can mess up a whole project later on when things are actually being built. I don't have a big team or a polished office. It’s just me doing the work that needs to be done. The people in the village know me as the guy who is always working on his laptop. It’s a steady life and I like that I can stay near my home instead of moving away.
