Assam Tea Traders

We are located at 12/52, 5th Cross Ganesha Block, in the Mahalakshmi Layout area. Assam Tea Traders has been operating from this exact spot for quite a bit of time. It is a residential-style block, so it is fairly calm compared to the busy main roads nearby. You can usually smell the tea leaves as soon as you get anywhere near the front door. We have wooden crates stacked up almost everywhere in the back. It is a bit of a squeeze sometimes when a new shipment arrives from the north and we have to find space for it. We spend most of our mornings sorting through the different grades and checking labels. My hands usually end up covered in fine tea dust by the time noon rolls around. It is just the nature of the business we are in. We do not have a fancy storefront with big displays. It is more of a workspace where we get things ready for our regular customers. We have got a small kettle in the back that is almost always on. Neighbors sometimes stop by just to chat for a few minutes. We know the postman well and he knows where to leave the mail. It is a very simple setup. We just focus on getting the tea out to the shops and the families who want it. Mahalakshmi Layout is a nice neighborhood. We have seen the kids on the street grow up over the years.
