We have been sitting here in Jayanagar III Block for quite a while now. Our office is at 39/10, right near the P M Swimming Pool. You can usually hear the kids splashing around in the afternoons if the windows are open. It is a nice part of town with a lot of old trees and families who have lived here for thirty or forty years. Dealing with houses and rentals is mostly what we do every day. People come in looking for a small flat or sometimes a bigger independent house if they have the budget. We spend a lot of time on the phone or walking around the blocks to see which gates have 'To Let' signs up. It gets busy during the summer when schools are starting and everyone wants to move closer to the good institutions. The office itself is not very big, just a few chairs and a lot of registers where we write down names and numbers. We try to keep things simple and honest. If a house has a leaky tap or the owner is a bit difficult, we usually just say so. It saves everyone time in the long run. Jayanagar is changing fast with new cafes popping up, but this little corner near the pool still feels like the old Bangalore we grew up in. We are just here doing our bit to help people find a place to stay without too much fuss.
