Amma Coffee Shop

Amma Coffee Shop is located at number 16 in Bishop David Nagar, just off Infantry Road. It’s a central enough spot, so there’s always something going on nearby. Infantry Road can get pretty packed with cars, but once you turn into Bishop David Nagar, it gets a little bit calmer. We’ve been at this address for a while and we’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit. At Amma Coffee Shop, we don't have any fancy mission statements or big goals. We just open up number 16 every day and do our work. It’s a simple building. Some of the neighbors have been here as long as we have, and we all know each other’s faces. The morning light hits the front of the shop in a nice way if you’re here early enough. We aren't trying to impress anyone with polished talk. We just speak plain English and get things done. Being near Infantry Road means we are close to the heart of the city, which is convenient for a lot of things. But we like the slightly more tucked-away feel of Bishop David Nagar. It feels a bit more like a real neighborhood. We spend a lot of time just keeping things running. It’s not always easy, but it’s what we know. If you’re ever walking around Infantry Road, you’ve probably passed by our street without even thinking about it. We’re just here.
