Aishwarya Tea Industries

We spend most of our days here at 114/11 in the New Timberyard Layout. It’s usually pretty dusty around the Khokhara Circle, especially when the big trucks go by. Aishwarya Tea Industries isn't a fancy place. We have stacks of tea sacks everywhere and the smell of raw tea leaves hits you as soon as you walk through the door. Some days the humidity makes the bags feel heavier than they are. We just get on with the work of sorting and moving things. My desk is tucked in the back where it's a bit quieter away from the noise of the timberyard workers outside. We’ve been in this spot for a while now. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint but nobody really has the time to stop and do it. We drink a lot of tea ourselves, mostly just to keep going during the long afternoons. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit by the open shutter waiting for the lights to come back on. It’s a basic operation. We don’t have a big fancy sign, just the address and our name on the front. Customers come by, or they call, and we see what we can do for them. The floor is concrete and we try to keep it swept but tea dust gets into every crack. The neighborhood has its own rhythm, and we're just a small part of it. Sometimes people drop by just to chat, and we don't mind that much as long as the work gets done.
