Chandhan Creation

Chandhan Creation is over in Adugodi, at No. 09 in the 21St Block. We are inside a building called Nandi Sankirana. It’s not a very big place, just a few rooms where we do our work. If you come by, you’ll hear the sound of sewing machines humming along. We mostly deal with making clothes and different fabric items. The 21St Block is a bit tucked away, so it’s not as noisy as the main roads around here. I’ve been working out of this spot for several years now. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint, but we are usually too busy with orders to worry about that. We have piles of fabric rolls in the corner and threads of every color you can think of hanging on the wall. It’s a bit messy, but it’s a working shop. My aunt usually sits by the window because the light is better there for the fine work. We don't do any big advertising or have a fancy sign. Most of our work comes from people who live nearby or someone who heard about us from a friend. We take our time with things and don't rush. Sometimes the neighbor's cat comes in and sleeps on the fabric scraps. We don't mind. It’s a comfortable place to work. We just keep our heads down and finish the day’s tasks. It’s a practical life, and we like being part of the community here in Adugodi. We stay until the light fades.
