You can find About Aura Cotton Sarees over at No. 71 & 72. We are on the 1st Main, 5th Cross in Vigneshwar. It’s a residential area that’s grown into a bit of a shopping hub for people looking for local stuff. Our shop is filled with cotton sarees from top to bottom. We don’t have much room for anything else once the new stock arrives each month. The shelves are always packed and sometimes we have to stack boxes in the corners just to make space for walking. It’s a bright space because of the windows, which is good for seeing the colors of the fabric properly. We spend a lot of time unfolding and folding sarees for anyone who walks in to take a look. It’s a lot of work on the arms and back, but we’re used to the rhythm. The neighbors in Vigneshwar are friendly and we often chat across the street during slow moments in the morning. We don’t use any high-tech systems for our inventory; it’s mostly just notebooks and memory. The 5th Cross is usually busy with people walking by or kids playing in the street. We keep the doors open to let the breeze in, though it brings in some dust too. It’s a local business run by people who know their fabric and like being part of the community here in the neighborhood, doing what we can.
