Our office is at 162 Ulsoor 1st Main Road, specifically near the 4th Cross in Someshwarapura, within Cambridge Layout. It’s a nice enough part of town, with some trees and a lot of houses nearby. We run a cab service, so our lives mostly revolve around car keys, logbooks, and the GPS. The office is small, just a place for the drivers to check in and for us to answer the phones. You’ll usually see a couple of cars parked out front or nearby, waiting for their next trip. We spend a lot of time talking to people about where they need to go and how long it’ll take with the Bangalore traffic. Some days the phones don't stop ringing, and other days it’s a bit quieter and we can actually catch a break. We’ve been in Cambridge Layout for a while now, so we know the shortcuts and the bad patches of road. It isn't a high-tech operation; we use a lot of handwritten notes and a big whiteboard to keep track of everything. Sometimes a car needs a trip to the mechanic, or a driver is running late because of a closed road. We just deal with those things as they happen. It’s a basic business of getting people from point A to point B without too much fuss. We focus on keeping the cars clean and the drivers ready for whatever the day brings.
