A One City Taxi

A One City Taxi is based right at 101 Domlur, just opposite the bus stop. It’s a convenient place for us because there’s always people around the bus stop looking for a ride or asking for directions. We’ve been running our taxi service from here for years. It’s a small office where we manage the drivers and take calls. The phone rings a lot, especially in the mornings when everyone is trying to get to work. We don’t have a fleet of hundreds of cars, just a reliable group of drivers who know the city well. The office itself is pretty small. There’s usually a pot of tea going and a few drivers sitting around waiting for their next trip. We know the roads in and out of Domlur like the back of our hands. It’s a hectic job sometimes, especially with the traffic being what it is these days. We don’t use any fancy apps or high-tech dispatch systems. We just use the phone and our logs to keep track of everything. It works for us and our customers seem okay with it. People stop by the office to book trips in advance too. We try to keep things simple and honest. If a car is going to be late because of a jam, we just tell people. There's no point in making up excuses. We’re just local people providing a way to get around the city. It's a living and we do it okay.
