A & T Mineral Exports Co

A & T Mineral Exports Co is over in Rabrindranath Tagore Nagar, right at 5th Cross, number 12. It’s a bit of a mix of houses and small businesses around here. Our office is actually quite small, and we mostly use it for the paperwork side of the mineral export business. We have a couple of rooms where we keep samples of rocks and minerals that we’ve collected. They sit on shelves and sometimes they get a bit dusty if we haven't moved them in a while. Most of our actual work involves coordinating with mines and shipping companies. It’s a lot of back-and-forward communication. We have a few guys who help with the loading when a truck comes to the cross, but mostly it’s a quiet operation. We don't have any flashy signs out front. If you walked past number 12, you might not even know what we do. We like it that way. RT Nagar is a nice area, though the roads can get pretty narrow for the bigger vehicles. We usually get our lunch from a small shop nearby and eat it while we go over the shipping manifests. It’s not a high-pressure corporate job, but it has its moments when a deadline is close. We’ve been doing this for a long time, so we know the rhythm of the industry. We just try to keep things moving and make sure the minerals get to the port without any major issues.
