A A Engineering Works

Our workshop is tucked away in Shivaji Nagar, right near the New Cloth Market at number 10. It’s a noisy area with all the textile shops and people moving goods around. We do engineering work here, which means there’s usually the sound of metal being cut or machines running in the background. The floor is concrete and usually has some metal shavings or oil spots on it. It’s not the kind of place you’d wear your best clothes to. We’ve got a few old lathes and some newer tools that we use for various jobs that come our way. The tea stall at the corner of the market is where we usually take our breaks. It’s good to get some fresh air away from the smell of the machine oil. We don’t really do fancy brochures. Most of our customers are other shop owners or local contractors who have known us since we opened. We just write the orders down on a pad and get to work. It’s a bit of a grind sometimes, especially when a machine breaks down, but we know how to fix our own gear. People from the market often drop by when something breaks or they need a part fabricated. We don't have a front desk or a lobby. You just walk in and talk to whoever isn't wearing earplugs at the moment. It’s a practical environment.
