Xotic Agropolis Llp

Our office is over in Ulsoor at No 202 in the Hubtown Prime building. It sits on Annaswamy Mudaliar Road, which is in Ward No. 81. It’s a central part of Bangalore, so there is always something going on outside our windows. We work on the idea of an agropolis, which is basically mixing agriculture with the city environment. It’s a bit of a modern approach, but we try to keep it down to earth. We aren't sitting in a high-rise office with leather chairs; it’s more of a functional space for a small group. We spend our time looking at how to make farming work in urban spaces and dealing with the permits and plans that go along with that. Ulsoor is a great neighborhood, and being here makes it easy for people to drop by and chat about their projects. Sometimes we get caught up in the traffic on Mudaliar Road, but that’s just Bangalore for you. We don't have a big corporate pitch. We just think there's a lot of potential in city-based agriculture and we want to be part of making it happen. The office is usually filled with maps and sketches. We are just a bunch of people who like the idea of green spaces in the city. It's practical work that requires a lot of patience. We just take it one day at a time and see how we can fit more plants into the urban landscape. It keeps us quite busy every week.
