Vgrosell Farmers Producer Company Limited is situated right opposite the bus stop in Chikkanalluru. It’s a very convenient spot because anyone coming into the village by bus sees us immediately. There’s always people waiting for the next bus, so it’s never quiet outside our door. We spend a lot of time just watching the buses come and go while we work. The office is a simple one, nothing special to look at. Inside, we have some tables and chairs where the local farmers sit and chat. We don’t really have a formal way of doing things, it’s more about who shows up and what they need help with that day. Chikkanalluru is a place where everyone knows everyone’s business, so we hear all about the crops before they even arrive. Sometimes the bus drivers come in for a glass of water. It’s a very social place, not like a cold office in a big city. We deal with whatever the farmers are growing this season, mostly just trying to get things organized for transport. The floor is usually a bit dusty from all the foot traffic, but we don’t mind. We don't have a big staff, just a few people from the area who know about farming. It’s just a regular part of the village landscape now, right there by the bus stop where everyone gathers.
