Shree Raita Bandu Farmer Producer

Shree Raita Bandu Farmer Producer is a group based out of Mashal. We work out of the place of Rajashekar Sidramappa Patil. The name "Raita Bandu" basically means we are friends of the farmers, and that’s exactly who we are. We are all neighbors and friends who have been working the land for as long as we can remember. We decided that we should probably have a more formal way of doing things, so we registered as a company. It doesn't change much about how we actually work in the fields, but it helps when we need to buy things in bulk or talk to the big buyers. We don't have a fancy headquarters. We meet up at Rajashekar’s place and sit around talking about the rain, the soil, and the prices. It’s very informal and that’s how we like it. We aren't interested in marketing gimmicks or corporate talk. We just want to make sure that the people growing the food get a fair share of the money. Mashal is a good place with hard-working people, and we are just trying to support that. There’s a lot of pressure on farmers these days, so having this group makes us feel a little more secure about the future. We are just simple people trying to make the most of what we have on our farms.
