Our place is located on Manthur Road, specifically in the Ps Keri building. It’s No 554, Plot 79 if you’re looking for the exact spot. We are a group of horticulture farmers, which basically means we spend our time with fruits, vegetables, and things that grow in gardens rather than big grain fields. It’s a bit different than regular farming because everything is so delicate. We started this because we needed a way to get our stuff to the market without losing half of it along the way. Most of us have small plots of land around the area. We bring what we grow to this building to sort it out and figure out where it's going next. It gets pretty crowded inside when everyone shows up at once with their crates and bags. The building itself is just a regular place, nothing special to look at from the outside. We spend a lot of time worrying about the water and the pests that try to eat our plants before we can pick them. It’s a lot of manual labor, picking things by hand and making sure they don’t get bruised. We’ve all lived around here for a long time, so we know each other well. We don’t have a marketing team or anyone in suits. It’s just us in our work clothes, trying to get the best out of the dirt we have. Sometimes the days are long, especially in the heat, but this is what we do for our families.
