North South Biogenetics Seeds Private Limited is located out in Hesara Gatta, on the edge of Bengaluru. We’re at H.No. 138/11 in the Adde Gatesuradevanapur area. It’s a bit of a drive from the main city, but it’s much better for working with seeds out here where there’s a bit more space and less traffic. We spend our days dealing with the science of seeds, but we aren't all in lab coats. A lot of it is just hands-on work in the sheds and checking on trial plots. We’ve got a small team, and everyone wears a few different hats. One minute you're looking at data, and the next you're moving bags around. We aren't trying to sound like a giant multinational. We’re just a local seed company trying to get things right. The weather in Bengaluru is good for our work, but the city’s growth keeps pushing us further out. We don’t do much in the way of advertising. Most people hear about us through word of mouth in the farming community. It’s a bit of a trek to get to our office, but we like it that way because it keeps things quiet. We just focus on the biology part of the seeds and making sure they’re ready for the farmers who rely on them. It’s steady, practical work.
