Mathsyachetana Fisheries Producer

We are the Mathsyachetana Fisheries Producer group and we work out of 237 Kasaba Hoblikudaragundi. When you are in the fish business, your day is usually starting while most people are still asleep. Kudaragundi is where we have our setup. It is a wet and messy kind of job, so you won't see any of us wearing clean white shirts for very long. We are more comfortable in boots and old clothes that can handle the water and the fish. The air always smells a bit like the ponds, which is something you just get used to after a few days. We don't have a polished front office. Our office is usually wherever the nets are being pulled or the tanks are being checked. It is a lot of physical labor, and your back usually hurts by the end of the week. We are just local people who know how to raise fish and get them where they need to go. There is no corporate ladder here, just a bunch of us trying to make sure the stocks are healthy and the water is right. We do not have any big speeches to give about our work. We just do it because it is what we know. If you come by Kasaba Hobli, you will see us working. That is just the way it is for us every day. We don't try to make it sound like more than it is.
