Byasigaderi Farmers Producer Company Limited is based right in our village here in Hagaribommanahalli. If you are from around Bellary, you know it is a lot of farming land and hard-working folks. We got tired of trying to sell our stuff alone and getting bad prices at the market. So, a group of us in the village decided to start this company. It is located right in the middle of the hobali. We don't have a big team of office workers. It is mostly just us farmers coming in after finishing our work in the fields. We talk about the rain, the price of seeds, and how to get the crops moved to the city. The office is just a place to keep the books straight and meet with the other members. We aren't trying to be a huge company that forgets where it came from. We live here, we work here, and our families have been on this land for a long time. It is a tough life sometimes when the weather doesn't go your way, but having the company helps us feel a bit more secure. We handle the local produce and try to make sure every farmer gets a bit more for their hard work. It is simple and honest work. We don't use big words or have fancy meetings. Just plain talk about the soil and the seasons here in Karnataka.
