Zaara Cafe & Restaurant

We are located right on Ambedkar Road in Belgaum. If you know where the Civil Hospital is, we are just directly across from it. Being near a hospital means there is always something happening outside our door. We see families, doctors, and people just passing through the city at all hours. The street is usually lined with parked bikes and cars. We opened up Zaara Cafe & Restaurant to serve the people in this neighborhood. It is a simple place with wooden chairs and a basic kitchen. We don't spend money on fancy decorations or loud music. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we are more focused on the cooking. Most mornings start with cleaning the floors and getting the stove going. Belgaum has nice weather most of the year, so we leave the front open to catch the breeze. The staff lives nearby, so they walk to work every day. We know the shopkeepers on both sides of us quite well. Sometimes we sit outside on the curb when business is slow. It’s an honest way to make a living. We don't have a big mission statement. We just want to make sure people leave with a full stomach. It gets busy during lunch, and sometimes you have to wait for a seat. That is just how it goes on Ambedkar Road. We focus on the work and keep the coffee hot.
