Swathik Traders

You can find Swathik Traders over in R K Colony. This is part of the Chikodi taluk area. It is a quiet place to have a business, which we like. We set up here because it was close to where we live. Most of what we do involves trading basic goods that farmers and local people need. The building isn't much to look at, just a sturdy place to keep our stuff dry and safe. We spend a lot of our time on the phone or talking to people who drop by the colony. The pace of life in Chikodi is a bit slower than the big cities, and we don't mind that at all. We open up early, usually around the time the sun comes up, and we stay open until it starts getting dark. There is always something to be counted or moved. We don't have a website or anything like that. If people want to find us, they usually just ask around the colony. Word of mouth works well enough for us. It is just a few of us working together. We’ve known each other for years, so we don't need to talk much to know what needs doing. We just keep our heads down and handle the daily trade. It is honest work and it keeps us busy throughout the year. Nothing more, nothing less. We are just part of the local scene here.
