Down in Yadwad Village, our place stands out because of all the activity. We are located in Gokak Taluka, and if you know Belgaum district, you know it can get quite hot. The work here is mostly about moving cement. There are trucks coming in and out at all hours of the day. It is a lot of heavy lifting and making sure the stacks are right. The village life is slow but our yard is always moving. We have guys who have been here for years, just doing the same routine every day. You get used to the smell of the bags and the grey dust that settles on everything. It is a big operation for a village like this, but we make it work. Most of the folks working here live just a few minutes away. We don't spend much time on paperwork compared to the actual moving of goods. When the rains come, things get a bit messy, but we have enough cover for the stock. We see a lot of local contractors who need bags for small jobs and big ones too. It is just steady work, keeping the supply going for the builders around the district. We don’t have a big sign or a fancy lobby. It’s just a place where cement gets moved from one place to another by people who know the trade.
