S S Travels & Carriers

S S Travels & Carriers is based out of Shop No. 4 in the Hotel Sukhsagar Complex. We are on the Nehru Nagar Main Road, so it is a very easy place to spot if you are driving through that part of Belgaum. Since we are in the same building as the hotel, we get a mix of travelers and local business people coming through the door. Our space is pretty basic. We have some desks and a couple of phone lines that seem to ring all day long. Because we also handle "carriers," we often have packages or logs sitting around while we wait for the next transport to arrive. It is a bit of a crowded office sometimes, especially when the morning deliveries are happening. We don't really have a polished look. There are posters on the wall and stacks of logs on the shelves. Most of our day is just checking on the routes and making sure the drivers are on schedule. Nehru Nagar is a busy area, so there is always something happening right outside the shop. We drink a lot of tea while we work and talk to the other shop owners in the complex when things get a bit quiet. It’s a decent place to work and we know most of the regular people who pass by. We just focus on the daily tasks and getting things moved.
