Priyadarshini Veg Family Restaurant

You can find us right opposite the railway station in Ugarkhurd, on the Athani Main Road. Being near the station means we see a lot of travelers and people waiting for their trains. We are a veg family restaurant, so we keep everything strictly vegetarian. The space isn't huge, but we managed to fit enough tables for families to sit together. Since it's Belgaum, we get a mix of local people and folks from across the border area. The menu is quite basic, just the usual South Indian and local dishes that people want for breakfast or lunch. We open early because of the train schedules. Sometimes the trains are late, and people sit here for quite a while with just a cup of tea. We don't mind that. The kitchen is always busy with the smell of tadka and steam. It can get a bit smoky when we’re frying things up in the morning. We don't have a fancy uniform or anything. Just us in our regular clothes working to serve the food. The floor is plain tile and the walls have a few old pictures on them. It’s not a place for a fancy date, but if you’re hungry after a long journey, we are right there. It’s simple, honest work for us every day. We’ve been here for a good while and the station staff often comes over for their breaks too.
