Wadmauli Farmer Producer Company Limited is based out of Sawargaon in Parali, Beed. Ankush Ramrao Dahifale is the main point of contact here. We’ve lived in this area for a long time and farming is all we really know. Setting up this company was a way for us to try something new by working as a group. It’s located right in the village, so everyone knows where to find us. We don't spend much time inside. Most of the work happens outside in the heat. We deal with whatever the season brings, whether it’s cotton or grains or whatever else is growing that year. It’s hard work and the prices are always changing, which makes things stressful sometimes. We aren't experts at business, we are just learning as we go. There’s a lot of talk during our meetings about the cost of inputs and where to find better water sources. Sometimes we disagree on how things should be run, but we always figure it out eventually. It's about helping the community here in Sawargaon. We don't have a website or anything like that. People just walk over and talk to us. We’re just trying to keep the farm tradition alive while moving forward a little bit. It's a slow process but we are sticking with it. Everyone here puts in their fair share of sweat and effort every single day of the week to make sure everything keeps running.
