Wadgaon is a small place and that is where we are based. Our office is right here in Kaij, part of Beed district. It is not some big building with a sign. We just use a room to get our work done. Most of us are farmers who grow soybean and cotton. We started this producer company because we were tired of doing everything on our own. It is hard to get a good price when you are just one person. Now we sit together and talk about what seeds to buy or how to get the tractor fixed. The roads around here can be pretty rough, especially when it rains, so we spend a lot of time just trying to get things from one place to another. We have some chairs and a wooden table where we keep our records. Sometimes the fan doesn't work when the power goes out, which happens quite a bit in the afternoons. We aren't experts in business, but we know the land and we know what it takes to grow a crop. We spend our mornings in the fields and then maybe come by the office in the late afternoon to see what needs to be signed. It is a simple life and we are just trying to make it a bit better for everyone in the village. It takes a lot of patience to deal with the markets and the weather, but having this group helps a lot.
