Vishwavallabh Farmer Producer Company Limited

Our little place is located right there at House Number 93 in the Market Yard at Majalgaon. Being so close to the actual market is really helpful for what we do. Vishwavallabh is the name we picked out for our group. We are all farmers from various parts of the Beed district. Most days you can find one of us near the market stalls or out in our own fields nearby. It gets extremely busy during the harvest season and we barely have time to sit. We got tired of being pushed around by the middle men every year, so we started this company. It is basically a way for us to stick together and have some strength. We are not professional writers or big city businessmen. We are just regular guys who know how to grow things in the ground. We handle a lot of different grains and various pulses. The weather around here is always a gamble for us. We meet up often and discuss which seeds to buy or how to fix a broken water pump. It is very practical, hands-on work. There is no air conditioning in our little office, just an old fan and a few chairs. We drink a lot of hot tea and talk about when the rain might finally come. It is a community thing. Everyone puts in some hard work. We are just trying to get by every day.
