We are over here in Nandagaul, which is part of the Parli tehsil in Beed district. The office for Hari Vithumauli Farmer Producer Company Limited is really just a spot at Shrimant Pandhari Gite’s place. We mostly spend our days dealing with the farmers around this area. It started because a bunch of us realized that doing things alone wasn't working out so well. The roads around here can be a bit rough, especially when the monsoon hits, but that is just part of life in Beed. We don't have a big staff or anything like that. It is just a few of us trying to figure out the best way to get our produce to the right places without losing too much money in the process. Sometimes we sit around and just talk about the price of cotton or whatever else is growing that season. It is not a fancy corporate life, that's for sure. Most of our clothes are stained with dirt from the fields anyway. We handle some paperwork for the producer company, which can be a real headache sometimes, but it is necessary for the group. People stop by the house often to ask about seeds or how to fill out some government form. We try to help as much as we can with our limited resources. It is quiet out here most of the time, except when the tractors go by. We are just local people trying to make a living and keep the farms going.
