We are located right by the Wan Rivernear Nagapur. It's a quiet spot, mostly. Vavar Farmer Producer Company Limited started because we needed a way to manage our own crops. Parli-Va is our local area. Living out here means you deal with the river rising and falling. Sometimes the water is good, other years it is a struggle. We don't have a fancy office with glass walls. It's just a place at 301 Wan Rivernear where we meet up. Most of the time, our boots are covered in mud from the fields. We talk about the soy and the cotton. People think being a farmer producer company is something big, but it’s just us neighbors trying to get a fair price. We share what seeds are working and who is buying this year. It's not always easy. Sometimes the transport breaks down or the rains come too early. We don't promise anyone the world. We just try to keep the business side of the farm moving so we can keep planting next season. If you walk down the road from Nagapur, you'll see where we are. It’s a practical life. We spend a lot of time outside, looking at the sky and the dirt. We aren't here to impress anyone with big talk. We just want to make sure the work we do in the sun actually pays off at the end of the day. It’s just plain work for plain people.
