Over in the Georai taluka of Beed district, you will find us at a place called Marfala. We are Tys Agro Producer Company Limited, and we operate from the residence of Shri Asaram Tulshiram Kute. Being out here in Beed, things can be quite dry, and the farming life is definitely not for everyone. We started this company to bring together the local producers in our area. It’s a very local operation. Our office is just a simple room where we keep our books and meet with members. There isn’t much in the way of decoration. We prefer to spend our time talking about the crops and how to get them to market. Georai is a place where everyone knows everyone else’s business, so we have to be honest and transparent about what we are doing. We don’t use a lot of big words or try to sound more important than we are. We’re just a group of neighbors trying to improve our situation. Sometimes we sit around for hours just discussing the best time to sow seeds or which market is giving better rates. It’s a slow process building a company like this, but we are patient. We’ve seen good years and bad years on these lands. Our goal is just to keep moving forward, one season at a time. If you’re ever passing through Marfala, you’ll likely see some of us hanging around the Kute residence, talking shop.
