Sindhusagar Agro Farmer Producer Company Limited is over in Kolgaon. Our office, if you can call it that, is at Raghuba Kashid’s house, number 555. This is in the Georai taluka within Beed district. We are just a group of local people who have been farming this land for as long as we can remember. Beed is a place where you have to work hard just to get by. We started this company because we wanted to have more control over how our crops are handled. It is not a fancy operation by any means. We meet in the front room of the house and talk about seeds, fertilizers, and the weather. Kolgaon is a small village where everyone knows your business anyway. We don't have a big budget for advertisements or anything polished. Most of our work happens out in the dirt and the sun. Georai is the main town we go to for supplies, but Kolgaon is where the real work happens. We try to help each other out when someone’s tractor breaks down or when the rain doesn’t come. It is an honest life, even if it is a bit unpredictable. We don't have any corporate goals or mission statements. We just want to keep our farms running and our families fed. If you see us at Raghuba’s place, we are probably just going over the accounts or planning the next planting cycle. That is our reality.
