Shivsannman Farmers Producer Company Limited is located in Patoda taluka. We are based at the home of Vandani Umesh Kawade. It is a local place where we all gather to discuss the farming business. Patoda is a small enough place that you don’t really need a map to find someone’s house. We are a group of farmers who decided that we could do more if we joined up. We aren’t some big city business with polished floors and secretaries. Mostly, it is just us sitting around on the porch or in the main room, looking at the account books and talking about the harvest. Vandani and Umesh help keep everything together. The weather in this part of the district can be tough, so we spend a lot of time talking about water and how to keep the soil healthy. We aren’t trying to impress anyone with big words. We just want to make sure our families are taken care of and that our crops reach the people who need them. It is hard work, and some days are better than others, but we like the independence of having our own producer company. It gives us a bit of a voice in the market that we didn’t have before. We are just honest people doing the work we know how to do, right here in our own village. We don't need much more than that to stay busy every day.
