Sandeshwar Krushi Vikas Farmer Producer Company Limited is just a small outfit we set up over here in Majalgaon. Our main spot is at H.No 913/2 in Gaganan N, which is right in the Beed district. Being in this part of the state means we deal with a lot of heat and sometimes not enough water for the crops. A few of us local farmers got together because doing everything alone was getting too expensive and tiring. We thought if we pooled our resources, we could handle the buying and selling part of farming a bit better. It’s mostly local guys involved, people who have spent their whole lives out in the sun. We meet up at the Majalgaon office to figure out what everyone needs for the next season. It’s not a corporate setup at all. Usually, there’s a lot of mud on the floor and someone is always complaining about the price of diesel. We just want to make sure the work we do in the fields actually pays off at the end of the year. There’s a lot of talk about how farming is changing, but for us, it’s still just about the hard work and hoping the monsoon is kind to us. We don’t have any fancy speeches, just a bunch of neighbors trying to help each other out with the farm business. That's pretty much the whole story of our little group.
