Rudraraje Farmer Producer Company Limited is based out of Gat No. 128 in Debhegaon. It’s actually just a house near the Laxmi Aai Dtc. We are a group of farmers from around the Kaddad area. Most of us have been farming since we were kids, so we know the local weather and the soil better than anyone else. We decided to start this company because we wanted to have a bit more control over our own lives. When you’re just one farmer, it’s hard to get a good price for anything. But when we work together as a group, things get a little bit easier. We meet up at the house to discuss what we’re going to plant and how we’re going to handle the harvest. It’s not a polished business with a lot of rules. We just talk like neighbors. Sometimes we have a good year, and sometimes the insects or the lack of rain makes things hard, but that is just part of the job. We don’t use any marketing tricks or big words. We just want to produce good stuff and make sure everyone in our group gets a decent return for their labor. It’s a simple way of living and working. We stay focused on the day-to-day tasks in Debhegaon and try to help each other out when someone is having a rough time with their land.
