Moujkar Farmers Producer Company Limited

Over here in Mauj, which is in the Beed district, we have our little setup called Moujkar Farmers Producer Company Limited. Our office is at house number 132. It is a quiet village and we like it that way. We started this because we felt that farmers in our area needed a way to speak with one voice. It is mostly just us neighbors coming together to try and get better results for our hard work. We grow a lot of different things depending on the rain, and it is always a bit of a gamble. The company is our way of making that gamble a little less risky for everyone involved. We do not have any big bosses or fancy titles here. We just have people who are willing to put in the time to handle the sales and the transport. It can be a headache sometimes, dealing with all the rules and the paperwork, but we manage to get through it. We sit together in the evenings and figure out who is doing what for the next week. It is very informal, but the work gets done. We do not use big words or have a grand plan. We just take it one season at a time. If someone has a problem with their crop, they come to the office and we see if we can figure something out together. It is just how we live here in Beed. We are just trying to keep the village going.
