Lukhai Farmers Producer Company Limited is based in Anandwadi, over in the Georai area of Beed district. We are registered at Chimaji Manikrao’s place. We are basically a group of farmers who decided to team up. In this part of Beed, the weather can be tough and the market isn't always fair, so we thought being a producer company would help us out. We mostly deal with the crops we grow right here in the village. It isn't a fancy operation with a lot of machinery, just us using what we have to get by. We spend our time figuring out the best time to sow and where to sell once the harvest is done. Most of us have been farming since we were kids, so we know the local dirt pretty well. We aren't into big corporate talk or making promises we can't keep. We just work the land and try to support each other through the good years and the dry ones. If you come by Anandwadi, you can usually find one of us around the house or at the main storage spot. It is a simple life and we are just trying to make sure our families are taken care of. There’s no big mission statement, just the daily work of being a farmer in Maharashtra. We hope to keep this going for the next generation so they have something solid to build on for the future.
