Krushitwarita Mahila Farmer Producer Company Limited

Krushitwarita Mahila Farmer Producer Company Limited is a group of women farmers from the Talwada area in Georai. We are based out of C/O Tukaram Akasaheb Mark’s place in the Beed district. It is a local effort where we all pitch in to manage our crops and the business side of farming. Life in Beed can be tough for farmers, so we decided to form this company to help ourselves stay organized. We meet at the address in Talwada to talk about seeds, water, and where we are going to sell our harvest. It is a very down-to-earth operation. None of us are corporate executives; we are just women who work the land every day. The office space is just a room in a house where we keep our registers and documents. We spend most of our time out in the sun, doing the actual work that needs to be done. It is a community thing, and everyone knows everyone else. We don't use any big words or marketing tricks. We just show up, do the work, and hope for a good season. There are always challenges, like the rain not coming on time or prices being low, but we deal with those things together. We are just a group of neighbors in Georai trying to make a go of it through our own producer company.
