Kashigiriji Maharaj Farmers Producer Company Limited

Over here in Patoda, we mostly just worry about our fields and the seasons. It is Beed district, so things can get pretty dry sometimes during the summer months. A bunch of us decided to start Kashigiriji Maharaj Farmers Producer Company Limited because doing things alone was not working out so well for us. We operate out of Trimbak Babasaheb’s place in Jaulala. It is not a fancy building or anything, just a spot where we meet to talk about seeds, fertilizers, and where to sell our stuff. Most of us have been farming since we were children, so we know the ground pretty well. We did not really know much about starting a formal company at first, but we eventually figured it out. It is mainly about the farmers here looking out for one another. Sometimes we have long meetings that do not really go anywhere, but usually, we get things sorted out. We named it after the Maharaj because he is very important to the people around here. If you come by Patoda looking for us, you can just ask anyone for Trimbak’s house. We do not have big signs or anything like that up on the road. It is just practical work for us. We grow what the soil allows and try to get a fair price for it. It keeps us busy from the morning until the sun goes down. Farming is a tough life but it is our life.
