Down in Anegaon, near Kaij, things move a bit slower than in the big cities. We have our little setup for Handibag Agro Producer Company Limited at H No 130. It is right in the middle of the village, so everyone knows where to find us. We are mostly just farmers who decided that working as a group made more sense than trying to fight the markets alone. It has been a bit of a learning process, honestly. We don't always get everything right on the first try, but we are local people and we care about our land. We spend a lot of time on the porch or in the front room just going over notes. It is a humble place, and we like it that way. Being in the Beed area, we have to deal with the ups and downs of the rain, which is always on our minds. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. We just have our names and our work. It is honest living. We hope to keep the young guys interested in farming so they don't all run off to the city for jobs. It takes a lot of effort to keep things going.
