About Ganganandgiri Farmer Producer Company Limited – Agriculture & Farming in Beed
Ganganandgiri is basically a small operation run from House No. 48 in Parla. We are in the Vaijapur area, which is where most of us grew up and learned how to farm. Being a farmer producer company means we try to pool our resources so we don't get squeezed by the big markets too much. It’s not a fancy setup. We meet at the house or out by Gut No. 262 to talk about what we are planting. Sometimes the meetings go long because everyone has a different opinion on the weather or the soil. We deal with whatever the land gives us. It’s tough work and there isn't much glory in it, but it’s our life. We help each other with buying tools or getting better seeds when we can. Parla is a quiet place for the most part, except when the harvest is coming in. Then everything moves fast. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. It’s just us, the local farmers, trying to get a fair price for the hard work we put in. If you stop by, you'll probably see us sorting bags or checking on the tractors. We know every inch of this dirt. It’s a local thing, kept simple and honest because that’s the only way we know how to do it. We are just trying to keep the tradition going while making sure we can pay the bills for our families.
